2008 Cabernet Sauvignon,
Oakville  ~

Teaderman Vineyards 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from our Oakville estate in Napa Valley, reveals vibrant blackberry, blueberry and plum character accented with hints of caramel, milk chocolate and anis. A unique creamy richness on the palate evokes berry pies. This is a bold wine, with lovely concentration supported by full, soft tannins over the lingering finish. Try with rack of lamb, roasted vegetables, or hearty beef stew.

After we crushed and de-stemmed the fruit, we fermented it in stainless steel tanks and pressed the juice from its skins with a traditional basket press. The wine completed malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels (100% new), where it aged for 24 months, softening tannins and developing rich complexity. After bottling with minimal filtration, the wine was allowed to mature in bottle for another year and a half prior to release. The wine should continue to age well for some time, given its firm tannin structure.

Teaderman Vineyards 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is grown entirely on our estate in the heart of Napa Valley’s Oakville American Viticultural Area. This wine displays tropical guava, bright Meyer lemon and an appealing grassiness balanced by hints of toast from partial fermentation and aging in French oak. Crisp acidity and a medium body make this Sauvignon Blanc the perfect pair for a variety of salads, grilled chicken or pork, and roasted vegetables.
