Our Team

Stan Teaderman is a Napa Valley native, raised among the region’s vineyards and one-time orchards. As a young man he joined his father’s propane gas business, and then set out on his own in 1967. His business expanded to Northern California, the State of Nevada, and to international operations that are all still based in the San Francisco/Bay Area, Dixon/Sacramento and the wine country office in Napa.

In 1978, their longstanding passion for wine led Stan and his wife Patty to purchase the 14-acre Oakville property that became Teaderman Vineyards. At that time, the vineyard was planted to Sauvignon Blanc grapes that were sold to Robert Mondavi Winery for their famous Fume Blanc. Over time, Stan began to plant select parts of the vineyard to Cabernet Sauvignon, and today, with the help of family and friends, Teaderman Vineyards offers high quality wines of both varietals.
Away from the vines, Stan and Patty are active members in the close-knit Napa Valley community, supporting youth groups, health care and many local causes. Stan also finds a little time for his other passions, including: fishing, classic cars, and travel. His love of adventure has taken him from the Yukon to Asia to the Amazon.

Dustin Kaiser
Dustin has a very close relationship with his grandfather and mentor, Stan Teaderman. The two have been companions since Dustin was a boy, sharing everything from surfing in Kona, Hawaii to working in the vineyards. Dustin credits his grandfather with all he knows about grapevines, wine production and with the Teaderman family work ethic.  These work ethics have been passed down from Stan’s father, Herb, who liked to say, “The harder you work, the luckier you get.”  Dustin has taken this quote to heart and it inspires him daily.

Dustin graduated from Napa Valley Vintage High School in 2001, the first year Teaderman Vineyards harvested Cabernet Sauvignon for their own label. He fell in love with the whole process, and went on to pursue a degree in winemaking and viticulture from Santa Rosa Junior College. In the meantime, he worked around the valley, including the tasting bar at St. Supery. Dustin’s goal was to learn as much as he could about every part of the business in order to make Teaderman Vineyards a success.

Today he serves as an integral part of all functions at Teaderman Vineyards. From replacing end post, mowing and disking the vineyard, to harvesting the grapes, helping with blending and preparing for bottling.  He currently is responsible for all Marketing and Sales of Teaderman Wines.

Anne Vawter
Winemaker Anne Vawter enjoys guiding Teaderman Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyard to bottle. She has wanted to be a winemaker ever since she can remember, and, in 2002, she graduated from U.C. Davis with a degree in Viticulture and Enology. Over the last decade, Anne has pursed experience in every aspect of winemaking for clients that include Robert Mondavi Winery, Paradigm Winery, Oakville Ranch Winery and many others.  She has led vineyard teams, determined winemaking philosophy, and contributed to marketing and sales strategy—all valuable preparation for her role at Teaderman Vineyards.

“It is a great pleasure to work with the Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate,” says Anne. “We do things as ‘old school’ as possible, with minimal intervention in the winery to allow the balanced character of our Oakville fruit to shine through.”

Anne and her husband, also a winemaker, have two young daughters. They live on and manage a horse farm with boarding stables, and in their spare time they love to ride horses, rock climb, and sail on San Francisco Bay.
